All kidding aside however, Backyard Football is geared toward 7-10 year olds who might not be looking for the ultra real, highly detailed football game.
Backyard Football is basically a highly simplified football game that can be picked up easily without having an in-depth knowledge of the sport. For instance, there are only five players on the field at one time, the plays are simple, and the rules are relaxed. It also achieves a backyard feel by taking out the referees and inserting other kids into the NFL player pool that oddly enough can have better stats than the NFL players.
The problems add up quickly however as the gameplay isn't exciting or overly interesting. There are a number of options to choose from but the obvious lack of depth in most areas of the game severely limits it's potential for anybody not in the target age group. Other areas don't help it either as the graphics leave much to be desired with poor textures and a lack of details. In addition, the audio is in the same boat adding little excitement to the game. Problems like the announcer's comments being noticeably spliced together to call a play continue to show a lack of refinement.
Backyard Football teams up with the NFL to bring kid versions of the best tackling, passing, and running pros. You can choose from all 32 NFL teams or create your own with custom team names and uniforms. Once your team is ready, you'll pick a playing field, call the plays, and direct all the action in single games or an entire season. The successor to the original Backyard Football, this game makes vast improvements in gameplay and graphics. Backyard Baseball is a free online sports game with charming characters and fun challenges. You pick a team and players to compete against others on the field, like in Pablo's backyard. Try to hit a homerun, don't strike out and score enough points each round to move on to the next level. Don't disappoint your team! Select your favorite group of players and complete all 12 challenges with.
Although Backyard Football may work for a seven-year-old, few others would get much enjoyment from it. Lacking serious refinement in most areas, the 'cute'? style of gameplay wears off quickly and leaves few reasons to come back.
Just providing the football2002.* files ((a),(b),he0,he2,he3.he4) starts the game, but when you actually get to on the field play, it pulls up the debugger and states it couldn't load a resource.
I added the folders from the CD called DATA, and the folder from the install root called 'sounds', but I got the same error.

I then tried it by giving it every single file from the disc. Still no luck. So it seems I am missing something.
